Is climate change a moral issue?

This retreat will explore climate change as an ethics and justice issue and the role of spirituality in addressing global warming thorough public education & environmental advocacy.

Global warming provides a new and urgent context for life as human being, as climate change is increasingly leading to negative impacts on human mental and physical health, on other species on Earth, endangering both our children and future generations.

Scientists predict that these negative impacts will increase, along with a growing migration of environmental refugees in those regions most deeply affected by the growing instability of weather.

As cornerstones of civil society, spiritual and wisdom traditions and faith groups are well positioned to build networks with environmental and international development NGOs to engage with the challenges and complexities of addressing climate change, especially from a moral, ethical, and justice perspective.

This retreat will take place at:
Board Room, General Council Office
The United Church of Canada
3250 Bloor St. West, Suite 300
Toronto, ON M8X 2Y4

More details will soon be available here.
